The key to the references is: Tome + page, ( i.e. A46 = tome A, page 46), in the interests of space. Each Tome begins in July of the year and continues through June, except for Tome J which ends in December 1970, about a year after George Edson was knocked down by a car. Each Tome is also divided into Volumes, numbered 1-12, which occasionally are the easier numbers to see, but the Tome + page system is the most consistent.
In 1930 the editor, somewhat disgusted by the lack of support from his subscribers (who were only asked for $1 per year subscription) stopped publishing for a year. He then used double dates for the remainder of 1931 when he returned to his task.
If you are trying to locate articles from loose pages, note that until Volume XXX George Edson used Roman numerals; after that he used Arabic numerals. The monthly publications were for the most part four pages, with the occasional issue of eight pages.
